Public browsing and search engines
Match pages, club pages, league fixtures, history views, head-to-head archives (published only when enough meetings exist), and the city directory are published for fans, players, parents and coaches who need a clear path to a real score or kickoff time. Search engines may discover and index those URLs. The site map is at sitemap.xml; crawl preferences are listed in robots.txt.
What we publish
Lagnis Sport lists ice hockey, soccer and baseball competitions where schedules and results can be verified. Upcoming fixtures only appear when the kickoff is still in the future. Finished scores appear only when a confirmed result is known. We never invent calendars, demo scores or placeholder standings to inflate coverage. Some competitions show real club names before full fixtures are available; that honesty is part of the product, not a gap filled with fake matches.
Personal use
You may view pages in a normal browser, share links to individual match or club URLs, and quote limited scorelines for personal, editorial or educational purposes with clear attribution to Lagnis Sport at lagnis.com. Printing a weekend sheet for a team bench or embedding a single deep link in a club newsletter falls under personal / community use when it is not sold as a dataset.
Attribution when you quote a score
If you mention a result from Lagnis Sport in a blog post, match report, or social caption, name the site and link back to the match or club page you used. Do not strip branding from screenshots you redistribute at scale. A short quote with a link is fine; republishing large tables or season archives as your own feed is not.
Commercial reuse and bulk copying
Automated bulk download of the HTML corpus, systematic harvesting of
search-index.json, mirroring the site, or building a competing product from our
pages or derived extracts is not permitted without a written licence. Rate-limiting and bot
protections at the edge may throttle abusive traffic. If you need structured access for a
product, research tool or MCP server, request a commercial licence. That is how we intend to
sell packaged data later, with authentication, quotas and contractual terms, while keeping
public pages open for fans and search engines.
Source data and upstream rights
Fixtures and scores originate from official league platforms and competition schedules. Upstream providers retain their rights in the underlying competition data. Lagnis Sport displays results for discovery and fan value; a licence from us does not replace any obligation you may have to those upstream sources when you redistribute at scale.
Web push alerts
Score alerts are optional. Lagnis Sport never shows a notification permission prompt on page load. If you tap the bell or an on-page “score alerts” button, the browser may ask for permission. We store a push endpoint and the sports, leagues and clubs you chose to follow, plus language (English or French). Alerts are kickoff, score changes and full-time only. We do not send odds or betting offers through push. You can turn alerts off from the same control. Endpoints that the push service marks expired are deleted automatically.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim to mirror confirmed schedules and finals from the feeds we trust. If a kickoff time or score looks wrong, check the league’s own channels first — delays happen when upstream data is late. We do not run a live ticker on delayed competitions; those pages update after results are confirmed, which keeps the board honest even when play is still in progress.
Private surfaces
Internal monitoring paths are not meant for public indexing and must not be republished. Credentials for private tools are confidential. Reporting a security issue or credential leak helps everyone who relies on accurate public scores.
Changes
This policy may evolve as we add API or MCP access. The stable address remains https://lagnis.com/data-policy/. Continued use of the public site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms for personal browsing; commercial licences are governed by their own signed agreements.
